Pepsi @ CVS
CVS has pepsi products on sale this week, when you spend $20 you get $10 ECB back. I did the following scenario:
Bought (6) 12 packs of Pepsi products (on sale 3/$10) = $20
ECB Back = $10
Total = $10
This breaks down to $1.66 per 12 pack which is an amazing price!
You are allowed to do this deal TWICE. So I will be going back tommorow to use my $10 ECB from today on 6 more 12 packs. Making this even sweeter.

Pathmark Deals - 1/15-1/21
I am still a little angry at my Pathmark, but that shouldnt stop you from getting some good deals this week. Just remember, call your store to find out their coupon policy before you go (and get the persons name, just in case). I find self checkout and nice cashiers make it easier to use multiple coupons in one transaction. According to their corporate office - they will double 4 of the same per transaction and unlimited at face value, but my store told me otherwise.

Restaurant.com - 80% off Coupon
If you've never tried Restaurant.com, you really should. It's pretty great. It's a bunch of gift certificates to local restaurants that you can purchase at a heavily discounted rate. ie; with the 80% coupon, you can get a $25 gift card, for $2! Yes, $2! Now there are some limitations on these gift cards, such as some can not be used on weekends, some need you to have a minimum order requirement, etc.. So check the fine print before you use them. Most of the time these are really fantastic deals at some really great restaurants. I find it's best to call the restaurant before you go just to make sure of the limitations - occasionally the rules change and you don't want to be caught off guard.
For the 80% off, when checking out use coupon code: INDULGE (exp 1/19)
Coach Outlet - 20% Off Coupon!
I love Coach! This coupon is great, because it's 20% off at the outlet store (which means already discounted prices to begin with).
Get your 20% off at any Coach Factory Outlets through Monday, 1/18/10
The closest one to me is in Peddler's Village.
Let me know if you score any great deals!

.27 cent Quaker Instant Oatmeal @ Pathmark
This is an awesome deal for oatmeal! Quaker instant oatmeal is on sale for $1.77 each when you buy 7 at Pathmark this week. There is a $1 off coupon out there, which makes each box .77 - however when you buy 7 you get an instant $3 off your total. Which brings this down to .27 cents per box! That's a great price to stock up on Oatmeal for the winter :)
Update: My local Pathmark would only allow 4 coupons per transaction, and being you have to buy 7 at once to make this deal effective, it wouldn't work. Some stores are more leniant than others when it comes to coupons - my best suggestion is to call your local store first to clarify their policy before you go. (Or go through self checkout). Unfortunately I had to leave without purchasing anything, but will try again tommorow.
Update #2: I decided to call Pathmarks corporate office today to see what the actual policy is, since I had heard of people doing this deal successfully with 7 coupons. The corporate office said the limit of 4 is ONLY for double coupons, not face value coupons and the manager at the store I went to was wrong. They sent him an email and told me to go back today to purchase my 7 items. He did it begrudgingly (mental note - do not return to that store) but hey, I got my 7 oatmeals for .27 cents each! So I was happy. While I was there I also picked up some of the 10 for .77 cents each sale, 10 mac and cheese spirals and 10 cottage cheese packages. Not too shabby.

Online Coupons vs Clipable Coupons
If you're like me - you're super busy and don't really think you have time to clip coupons from the newspaper. Honestly, I tend to agree. But with the invention of this little known thing called the "internet" - you can now print coupons online and take them to your local supermarket the way you would a newspaper coupon. Most all stores accept internet printables now. Some may have regulations such as "limit 4 per item" but most are generally easy to deal with. The main stores I shop at all take printables and don't even really limit them. So when I post grocery deals, you will notice there will only be a few at a time instead of giant lists like some other bloggers do. This is because I will ONLY post coupons that are internet printable to make it easy on everyone. I would hate to tell you about an awesome sale, and then have you have to hunt down a Sunday paper from 3 weeks ago if you don't normally get or save the paper.

Bath & Body Works - Free Travel Size Items
IKEA - Free Breakfast Sunday 1/10
If you live near an IKEA and need to get some shopping done, this is a pretty good deal. They are offering Free Breakfast tommorow before 10:30am - one free breakfast and one cup of coffee per person. If I lived closer to one, I would be stopping in myself, but unfortunately I do not. Enjoy :) See their site for more details: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/store/philadelphia/restaurant
CVS - ECB Deals
I figured I would begin by explaining what a CVS ECB deal is, as I have a feeling I will be posting a lot of those deals on here. CVS has a program called "Extra Care" - this is basically their store rewards card. You can sign up for free in any CVS and make sure to have the card scanned (or give your phone number) everytime you make a purchase to get coupons called "Extra Care Bucks" that print on the bottom of your receipt every so often. A lot of times these rewards will be after spending a certain amount in any given quarter, however, there are also deals that prompt ECB's (Extra Care Bucks) to print immediately when you purchase a certain item. The good thing about this is that these ECB's are literally dollars off your next purchase.
Let me give you an example; This week CVS is having a deal where if you purchase Oust spray for $2.99 you get $2 back in ECB's. This $2 prints out when you make the purchase, and you can turn around and spend that $2 on anything in the store (except for Prescriptions or Gift Cards). So it's basically like getting cash back - and in the example I just gave, it's like getting that can of Oust spray for .99 cents.
Occasionally things will actually be free after ECB's - another example; this week Soy Joy bars are $6 for a pack, with $6 in ECB's back = FREE. The best way to maximize these deals is to roll those ECB's into future purchases of items that give back ECB's as well.. I have been doing this for a few months now. I initially invested about $20 into purchasing things that had good ECB value - Lets say I spent $20 and managed to get back about $15 in ECB's on that purchase. The following week I went back and bought more things that were free, or close to free, after ECB's. I used the previous weeks bucks to purchase that weeks items, thereby not spending money out of my pocket (oop = out of pocket, another term that will be used frequently). Once you get started, it's easy to go into CVS and not have any actual OOP expense each week. The other great thing is that after every few purchases, a coupon for $3 of a $15 purchase will print with your receipt. This coupon can be used before redeeming your bucks on your next purchase, and therefore can actually wind up with you making money!
I am going to finish this entry by showing you todays purchase broken down:
Oust Spray - $2.99 ($2 ECB)
2 Soy Joy boxes - $12 ($12 ECB)
Crave-NX Diet Spray - $7 ($7 ECB)
Total before any ECB's/Coupons: $21.99
Redeemed a $3 off $15 coupon - $18.99
Used $19 in previous ECB's
Total OOP Expense: $0
Total ECB's printed to use for next time: $21
On the above deal, I actually managed to make $2 because of the coupon. I went in with $19 in ECB's, and left with a few products, and $21 more in ECB's to use next time!
The above deals are valid until Sunday, so get out to the store tommorow and pick up your own and see just how easy it is! Keep in mind that the bucks DO expire (typically 30 days later) - but if you're like me, you'll start visiting CVS once a week and keep rolling those dollars into new ones!
